Nancy was a bonde, blue-eyed, pretty little
girl.

Her mother tells of the time they were visitng a neighbor when Nancy ate several "Daisy Fly Pads" that were set out by a neighbor to kill flies.
She was about   yrs. old at the time.  On their way home, she started throwing up and was a very sick little girl.

By 1940, the Philp family had moved to the Adams Ranch at Grover, Colorado.
The picture to the right was taken there.
Nancy was about 6 or 7 years of age in the picture.  By then she had two more sisters to play with and several cousins near by.
